DAVIDO’S PARTY: IIIEBAYE’S OUTFIT – TRASH OR GOLD

BBNaija star, Illebaye Odiniya has been on the spotlight since after Davido’s party. The outfit she wore, which consists of a blazer and cache skirt, left absolutely nothing to the imagination. Which she again capped by wearing just nipple covers underneath the blazers.  The choice of outfit , the person wearing the outfit and the occasion involved in it has stirred  lots of negative reactions from Nigerians.  But while we ponder on why she chose such an outfit for the event, do you also wonder about the worth of the outfit and if it’s worth the event?

We can’t say for certain, but a situation that has left us mostly flabbergasted lies in the worth of the outfit, could it be that the worth validated why she thought it worthy to feature in the event despite the possible backlash she might get for doing that.

Illebaye, is the latest BBNaija house winner and the controversy around her has since been revolving around  her and the boobs she “unintentionally” flashed in her dancing heist or could it be excitement? her preferred outfit, reaction and exposure of her private parts came as a shock to her fans and stirred the waters a lot because of a claim she once made in the BBN house.

The controversy came on the ground of a statement she made in a conversation with Ceec and Pere stating that he was a virgin to which Pere replied how can you be a virgin and living such a wild life. This conversation amongst others is why Nigerians has taken the case to heart and decide to hold and possible drag her to come explain the relationship between virginity and revealing blazers.

Now, unto the worth of this controversial outfit, Illebaye’s wears otherwise known as a Cache 2 piece skirt shirt cost a little over 200,000 thousand naira which seemed quite interesting but forced me to wonder if it’s a little under the budget following the nature of the event, matelle’s Launch with Davido as the life of the party especially when we compare it with her outfit to similar past events.

For a Big brother Naija start and Official price winners on the Enviable big brother reality TV show, it seems under the budget on what is expected of her. With that in mind, we 2wont fail to note that the outfit was unique and so stood out seamlessly amongst the crowd. A well styled and chosen outfit.

Illebaye’s outfit was the representation of class and simplicity. The two piece skirt is classy and looked quite uncomfortable. The blazers which did not permit her to move freely or wear anything underneath save nipple stickers further goes to prove this.

As a star within the entertainment industry, so many expectations are being built around you and lots of rules as to how you approach certain situations which is the basis of this one. The outfit worn by Illebaye has sparked both positive and negative response from Nigerians but mostly negative with some of them stanning that the outfit was not in line with our societal norms. And someone else made mention that she had the intention of seducing the Afrobeat singer with how revealing it is.

This has always been the question around every controversy and celebrity misconduct: what are Nigeria turning into and its why going this way only more to the negative than positive.

Conclusion:

Illebaye’s outfit was probably chosen because it is just an outfit,  it was a party and so such outfits is expected irrespective of what it portrays. The outfit was just right for the occasion and everyone who saw the nature of the event would agree with us that Illebaye did not dressed out of s6andard, for the event, she rather instead to a large extent dressed in line with the event and even the afrobaet singer would agree with us.

Because why not?
